Watches: How to color style

Spoilt for choice

We all know the feeling, you’re putting together a new outfit for the first time and you have no idea what color watch to match it with. Whether you’re looking at your collection of watches or contemplating buying a new one, there’s an abundance of choice of different watches. All of them different in style and color. Today we will try to bring a little order to the chaos by helping you make the right choice so you can show up dashingly in that new outfit

Tough as leather

The first thing to note when choosing a watch is the color of the band:

A black band on your wristwatch should be styled with black shoes and a black belt. The shades don’t have to be the exact same but make sure to pay attention to the tone of your matching. A darker toned leather goes best with other similarly toned leathers.

Alternatively, if you’re wearing brown shoes, a brown belt or both, then the optimal choice for you is a watch with- you guessed it- brown leather.

Show your true colors

The second thing to take into consideration is the color of your watch casing. Take a look at your wardrobe and see what kind of jewelry and other accessories you mostly wear. Are you a silver, gold or a rose gold person? Depending on this it’s a good idea to match your watch with the color of your other accessories.
